Following his graduation from the University of Adelaide in 2000, Donghyun Kim moved to Bendigo to take up positions at dental surgeries in both Bendigo and Castlemaine.   Dr Kim found that access to specialist dentists was somewhat limited in this busy semi-rural area.   With guidance and support from some highly respected and experienced dentists within the teams, he quickly found himself well able to undertake all aspects of dental surgery.

Dr Kim has now worked at the same establishment for most of his career.   This has allowed him the opportunity to self-critique his development and knowledge base over many years, and to use these observations to best manage his skill set.  Continuing professional development programs have also proved invaluable.

Dr Kim appreciates that the dental needs and expectations of the individual can be many and varied.   Procedures can range from simple maintenance and repairs, to root canals, crowns and full mouth restorations.   He takes care and consideration when explaining choices and alternatives to each patient, before framing a course of action and carrying out the procedure. 

Outside of work, he likes to keep fit by hiking and bike riding and relaxing by watching 90’s NBA games.   He never tires when entertaining his young children.
